When the likes of Ernst & Young, DaVita and others deliberately design their site to comply with mobile format, there is little doubt which way the wind blows. I just hope I can catch up enough to at least be just behind the early adopters.

Hi Nik. That was exactly my point. It goes to show that mobile has had such a huge impact and we're just now finally taking notice (in 2009-2010). Europe, and especially Asia, have been very receptive to the integration of mobile technology within every day use (e.g., 2d barcodes, mobile payments/purchasing, flight check-in via barcodes, etc. We (in the U.S.) have some serious catching up to do.

Can’t believe that 7th mass media article was from 2007 Definitely not a fad. I think it is PART of the future. A definite piece of gear for the urban explorer & business professional.
