Mobile Recruiting

WHAT IS MOBILE RECRUITING?

The basic concepts of Mobile Recruiting have evolved into two distinct categories:

1. Mobile Recruiting for Marketing:

Mobile recruiting from a marketing perspective simply refers to the use of mobile media, communication, or technology as a channel for attracting and engaging prospective talent. We see examples of this recruitment marketing being used with the deployment of SMS (Text-Job-Alerts), QR campaigns, mobile videos, career apps, etc. As with any mobile marketing effort, the key to success with this form of recruitment marketing is making sure the content is relevant to the needs of the target audience.

2. Recruiting On The Go:

The second category of mobile recruiting which has recently gained in popularity refers to how recruiters are now able to manage their work and be productive while on the go. A few quick examples of this include the ability to easily access email, search and process resumes, or log into a mobile optimized ATS, etc., all from a mobile (or tablet) device.

Mobile and wireless technology has completely transformed the way we connect to our world. For employers, mobile is the new paradigm shift. When it bleeps, buzzes or rings the mobile phone is guaranteed to get a candidates’ attention…whoever and wherever they are. For recruiters with the right message, delivered at the right time, nothing is as more direct, compelling or cost efficient. Employers need to get involved now if they hope to connect with this growing mobile generation.
