The Future is in the Cloud




There’s no mystery or secret to unveil. The concepts behind “cloud computing” are nothing new.  The idea of giving the public access to remote computers was first floated when the Beatles were making their debut in a Hamburg night club:

If computers of the kind I have advocated become the computers of the future, then computing may someday be organized as a public utility just as the telephone system is a public utility… The computer utility could become the basis of a new and important industry.

The concept of Cloud Recruiting, as first presented to the attendees of SourceCon 2008, refers to a new and important understanding of how this evolved idea is enabling recruiters to connect with their work, their peers, their employers, and their candidates in ways that truly enables them to be “anywhere, anytime, leveraging any device” as the need and opportunity dictates.

Against the backdrop of a world where for most recruiters “the sky is falling,” the notion of cloud recruiting opens the possibility of finding new ways to leverage existing and emerging technologies to help deliver solutions for tomorrow’s challenges, today.
