The ‘Science’ of Recruiting in the Cloud?
March 14, 2009 by Michael Marlatt

The other day I was speaking to good friend, entrepreneur, and fellow Think Tank Member - Eric Jaquith. He never ceases to amaze me because each time we speak, he always surprises me with something new. During our latest discussion, he alerted me to an interesting iPhone application that was recently launched by JobScience, a provider of human capital management solutions. For JobScience customers, the iPhone app essentially allows recruiters to access the new Skills and Knowledgebase, run basic and advanced search queries, easily review and retrieve contact details, as well as much more. What is also interesting is the technology they are using to build and deliver their services.
According to Ted Elliot, CEO & Founder of JobScience:
“We have decided to embrace the force.com platform and not only run our business on salesforce.com, but also build applications on the force.com platform.”
The release of JobScience’s iPhone app for Recruiters reminded me of another similar product that was launched back in early February by a company called SendOuts.
With the pervasiveness of mobile in today’s society, and the virtual workforce changing everything, it’s exciting to see companies develop innovative technology that is enabling recruiters to stay connected, anytime, and anywhere.
